Flights from Vladivostok to Phu Quoc resumed on 2 October 2026, and the route is a VietJet Air charter inside an Anex tour program, so a seat comes only inside a tour package. The Vladivostok airport announced the restart in a press release , and the program runs until March 2027.

I have lived in Vietnam and run tours since 2023, so I read a charter like this from the arrival side: what happens after the plane lands at Phu Quoc. This guide covers what “direct” means on this route, when the weather is worth the flight, who can book, which entry rules apply and how to get from the airport to the beach.

What does “direct” mean on the Vladivostok to Phu Quoc route?

“Direct” means no change of planes for passengers: the aircraft makes a technical stop in Hanoi of about 30 minutes, and nobody leaves the cabin. The official flight time is 8 hours 35 minutes. The route covers roughly 4,545 kilometers according to the T-Bank flight aggregator, so this is a long-haul sector with one stop on the way.

Last season the first flight landed on 19 October 2025 on an Airbus A321 with 220 passengers, and the 2026 program started earlier. The aircraft type for 2026 has not been published. The return leg can take longer than the outbound one, so confirm the return departure time with the tour operator.

Is October a good month to fly to Phu Quoc?

October is the tail end of the rainy season, and the island is more comfortable from November. The dry season runs from November to April with temperatures up to +30 °C, and November to March is the most comfortable stretch. Rain falls from May to October, and August and September are the wettest months.

Dark clouds over a Vietnamese beach: October is the tail of the rainy season on Phu Quoc

Showers are usually short, one to two hours after lunch or at night. In the rainy months the water near the shore can be cloudy and the waves stronger, so in early October I would pick a hotel with a pool. Charter flights from Vladivostok are scheduled from October to March, which means most of the program falls in the dry season.

Who can book the flight and what does it cost?

Anyone can book it, but only as part of a tour. The tickets are sold through travel agencies inside Anex and Intourist packages on VietJet aircraft, for 9 to 10 nights. Anex announced prices from 192,700 rubles for two people for tours from regional cities including Vladivostok, but that figure comes from a trade media preview and is a guide only.

Phu Quoc hotels sell out early for the winter charter season

Demand for winter is strong. Market participants report an acute shortage of hotels on Phu Quoc in the high season, and some hotels have closed sales for the New Year dates, so lock the dates early.

The package is tied to departure days, so if you want a longer stay, a different hotel or a continuation to Da Nang or Hoi An, the tour cannot be stretched. You can book a hotel and plan the route yourself if you are ready to cross-check bookings and transfers. If the charter does not fit your dates, I can build the island trip separately: hotel, airport transfer, excursions and a continuation across Vietnam, with the flights left to you. All I need from you is the dates and the number of travelers. Send me your dates on Telegram and I will put together the hotel, the transfer and the excursions around them.

What do Russian travelers need to enter Vietnam?

Russian citizens can stay in Vietnam up to 45 days without a visa, and media reports say the visa-free regime has been extended to 14 March 2028. The usual requirements reported for 2026 are a passport valid for at least 6 months, a blank page for the entry stamp and an onward or return ticket. Confirm them with the airline before departure.

Since 22 June 2026 every foreign visitor also has to complete an electronic arrival card before landing. If you plan to continue from the island across the country, look at our ready-made Vietnam routes .

How do you get from Phu Quoc airport to the beach?

Phu Quoc airport (PQC) has no public transport to the beaches, so you take a taxi, Grab, Xanh SM or a pre-booked transfer. Duong Dong is about 10 kilometers and 15 to 20 minutes away, Long Beach 20 to 30 minutes, Bai Sao 30 to 40 minutes. A taxi to the center or Long Beach costs about 150,000 to 200,000 dong, and to farther areas 300,000 to 400,000 dong.

Ask the agency whether the Anex package includes the airport transfer. For ideas on what to do once you land, read my guide to things to do in Phu Quoc , and if you are still choosing between resorts, Nha Trang vs Phu Quoc compares them.

Which option fits you: the charter package or a separate trip?

The charter fits you if the tour length and a ready package with a hotel suit your plans, and you accept the tour operator’s schedule. Otherwise build the Phu Quoc stay separately and buy the flight yourself: regular flights with a connection exist, and the T-Bank aggregator showed tickets from 21,237 rubles one way for 3 November 2026, although that figure covers all options and is not the VietJet charter.
