Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc is a drive-through safari park with a walk-through Open Zoo attached, set on the north-west coast of the island next to VinWonders. Families usually pair it with VinWonders, and the opening hours decide whether that pairing works.

The park opens daily from 9:00 to 16:00, and an adult ticket costs $37 in 2026 according to the park’s rules page , while children under 100 cm get in free.

Plan on three to four hours inside, arrive at 9:00 and keep the afternoon for VinWonders if you hold the combo ticket. I have run tours across Vietnam since 2023, and every hour, price and show time here comes from the park’s own pages on vinwonders.com and vinpearl.com . The timings are tight enough that I build my Phu Quoc days for guests around them.

What is Vinpearl Safari, and what will you see?

Vinpearl Safari has two parts: a safari zone that you tour by bus, with animals roaming around the vehicle, and an Open Zoo that you walk through at your own pace in front of each enclosure. The park says it keeps more than 4,000 animals of about 200 species, among them Bengal tigers, white rhinos, lions, leopards, zebras and giraffes.

The bus tour runs in a panoramic-window vehicle, while the Open Zoo holds the walking enclosures with white lions, lemurs, scimitar-horned oryx and bongo. The same grounds include a bird aviary, a reptile house, a primate area and a Kid Zoo, so leave time for them after the bus tour. The Safari ticket also covers one visit to the Teddy Bear Museum.

What do tickets cost in 2026?

An adult Safari ticket costs $37 and a child or senior ticket $27, while VinWonders is $40 for an adult and the one-day combo of both parks is $58. The table lists 2026 prices from the park’s official rules pages, converted at about 26,000 VND to $1. Seniors over 60 pay the child price when they show a passport or ID.

Night Safari$37$27
VinWonders Phu Quoc$40$31
Combo Safari + VinWonders, 1 day$58$42
Combo Safari + VinWonders, 2 days$65$50

The English version of the park’s offers page still shows about $33 for an adult Safari ticket. The rules page shows the higher figure, so budget for it and check the live price on booking.vinwonders.com before you pay. Buying on the official site also protects you from fake vouchers.

When should you arrive, and what is on the schedule?

Be at the gate at 9:00. The first safari bus leaves at 9:00 and the last at 15:20, yet the safari zone stops admitting visitors after 14:00, and the Open Zoo closes at 14:00. Arriving at the opening lets you fit the 9:20 Zulu Dance, the 10:00 animal show and the elephant feeding into the first three hours. The rest of the programme runs on a fixed timetable:

  • Zulu Dance show at 9:20, 11:20 and 15:30.
  • Animal show at 10:00 every day, and again at 14:00 except on Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Giraffe and Asian elephant feeding between 9:00 and 16:00.
  • Junior Zookeeper sessions in the morning and in the afternoon.

Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. A family that reaches the gate at 14:30 after a long beach morning will lose money on the ticket, because both animal zones are already closed to new arrivals.

How do you fit Safari and VinWonders into one day?

One day works with the combo ticket if you accept seeing only part of VinWonders, because the Safari needs about three to four hours and VinWonders about six to eight. The route below starts at the 9:00 gate and ends with the evening show.

  1. Buy the one-day combo at booking.vinwonders.com the evening before, so the morning starts at the gate with the tickets already on your phone.
  2. Enter the Safari at 9:00 and board the bus first, then catch the Zulu Dance at 9:20 or the animal show at 10:00.
  3. Walk the Open Zoo and watch the giraffe or elephant feeding, and leave the grounds around 13:00 after lunch.
  4. Take the VinBus to VinWonders, which runs from 8:30 to 16:00 every 30 minutes on the hotel routes, and arrive by about 14:00.
  5. Start at VinWonders with the rides and Typhoon World, because the water park closes at 17:30, and stay for the ONCE show at 18:45.

That leaves roughly five and a half hours at VinWonders, which stays open until 19:30. It is less than the park deserves, and it is the reason some families pick two days.

Is the combo ticket worth it, or do you need two days?

The combo is worth buying: one day costs $58 per adult and two days cost $65, while the two parks sold separately add up to $77. That saves about $19 per adult, and the two-day version also includes a free Grand World Tour.

Take two days if your children are young or the weather is hot, with the Safari on the first morning and VinWonders on the second. Rain and heat by month are covered in Phu Quoc weather by month . If Phu Quoc is one stop in a longer trip, my Vietnam tour routes show how the other regions fit around it.

How do you get to the safari park?

The park lies about 30 km from Phu Quoc airport, roughly an hour by road, and 5 km from the Vinpearl hotels, which is an 8-10 minute ride. Guests of the Vinpearl complex ride a free VinBus on routes V2.1, V3.1, V4.1 and V5.1 by showing a Safari, VinWonders or Grand World ticket for the QR scan.

From the airport or Duong Dong town, take bus 17 or 19 to Grand World, then change to the internal VinBus or a tuk-tuk for the last stretch. Timetables are on vinbus.vn . The quiet north-west coast around the park has its own north Phu Quoc guide .

Plans slip at the transfer: the airport bus ends at Grand World, a short ride from the safari gate. Booking and paying on the park’s site is easy to do alone, and when I plan Phu Quoc days for guests I book the tickets and a car timed to the safari hours, so the morning is not spent on bus changes. Send me your dates on Telegram and I will tell you which ticket and which day fit.

What should you bring, and what is not allowed?

Bring sunscreen, a hat and a passport or ID if anyone qualifies for the senior ticket. The park bans outside food and drinks, with an exception for baby food and dietary food, so buy water inside once you are past the gate.

The rules also forbid:

  • Flash photography near the animals and feeding them yourself.
  • Throwing objects into enclosures.
  • Vapes and IQOS, with smoking allowed only in marked areas and a fine of about $115.
  • Bicycles, skates, speakers, weapons and explosives.

Which should you pick: Safari, VinWonders or both?

Pick the Safari alone for animals and a calm half day. Add VinWonders when the family wants rides and a water park, and choose the two-day combo when children are small or the heat is heavy. Whatever you buy, reach the gate by 9:00.

Buying the tickets and working out the transfer is an evening of planning, and many guests do it alone. The part that deserves a second pair of eyes is the day plan, since a 9:00 arrival, a 14:00 cutoff and a non-refundable ticket leave no slack. Message me on Telegram with your travel dates and hotel area, and I will map out the safari day around them.

Three restaurants, Giraffe, Flamingo and Rhino, serve roughly from 10:30 to 15:45, and the souvenir shop opens from 9:00 to 16:00. Lockers stand at the entrance for bags.

What is not included in the Safari ticket?

Elephant feeding, sunshade umbrella hire, stroller hire and the VIP tour cost extra. Free wheelchairs are available for older or less mobile visitors.

No. Children under 140 cm and under 14 years old must come with an adult, and staff measure height at the gate to set the child price.
